“Perfect spot, right on the beach, friendly staff”
National hotel was very nice and is deserving of its 4 star ranking. There is one women at the front desk who was so polite and genuinely cared about how I was enjoying my time ( I wish I had gotten her name). I traveled to Rimini alone and I felt completely fine here. The train station is hectic and a little scary, but where the hotel is located it is a very nice part of town. I walked from the train station to the hotel and it took about 15 minutes or more. The front desk was very happy to arrange for a taxi for my departure. I was upgraded to a room with a sea view. The doors are sound proof so I couldn't hear much outside. The wifi is very strong. The breakfast is amazing. The staff is very friendly and the dinning room is beautiful with a view of the sea. The dinner menu changes every night. The menu is located in the lobby (ask for an English version at the front desk). I ordered room service my first night because I got in so late. I asked for it to be delivered at 10pm. At 10pm on the dot, my food arrived hot and fresh. I recommend the Rosemary risotto with a balsamic reduction. The hotel is paired with the beach #33 across the street. Ask for a voucher at the front desk for a discount for chair and umbrella rental, they also rent towels. For just a chair, literally almost in the water, it cost 5 euros ( I got there around 9 am). The next day I asked for a chair and an umbrella near the water and I was charged 15 euros. There are bars, restaurants and bathrooms on the beach so there is no need to leave the beach. I felt comfortable leaving my belongings at my spot ( I took my phone and wallet just in case). The beaches are sandy unlike in Cinque Terre. The sand is clean and maintained. The water was perfect. I'm sad I had to leave.
